How the LEEP Calendar worked

This tour describes the 2011–2014 subscription application. It no longer runs, and nothing on this page is an offer.

The four-step workflow

1. Choose a scope

Events in the LEEP were categorized by day, week, month and year, so planning began by choosing the span you were filling.

2. Choose a criterion

Events had been segmented into 52 keyword categories. The recovered page gives Health as its worked example: "there are over 750 Health Care related events in the LEEP Calendar for 2014".

3. Narrow the results

Results could be narrowed further by keyword. The recovered page names Dental, Children and Women as example keywords, and results could also be filtered by target market or event sponsor.

4. Export the selection

A category, day, month or week - or the whole year - could be imported into Outlook, iCal, Thunderbird or TeamUp. The recovered footnote prices this option at $19.95/year and excludes it from the 7-day trial.

Every event in the LEEP Calendar includes a source or more information URL to facilitate researching the event and up to four category headings. Not all events are what they seem. Yellow Pig Day has nothing to do with swine and everything to do with math. Burns Night isn't about fire. It's about poetry and the man that wrote it celebrated with a feast in Scotland.
